In collaboration with the Municipality of Täby, Icebound has used the ForestPlan management system to create a customized, new type of forest management plan for the management of publicly owned forests. The purpose of the plan is to create forests that offer a rich variety of experiences, high natural values, and well-managed forest environments.

With its new forest management plan, Täby Municipality is protecting the forest while enhancing its biological and social values, which led to the municipality—through Cecilia Lundin—being awarded the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation’s Forest Prize in 2019.

In 2021, a completely new forest management plan was adopted. Forest management does not have any requirements regarding timber production; rather, the goal is to create “forests rich in experiences and diversity, with high natural and recreational value” through, among other things, continuous cover forestry.
