Soil moisture
The soil moisture map is a high-resolution raster map that shows soil moisture in five classes: wet soil, moist soil, moist and dry soil, dry soil, and very dry soil. This map is derived from an even higher-resolution map with 100 levels covering all of Sweden. The color scale ranges from blue (wet) through green and yellow to red (dry). The soil moisture map is calculated using artificial intelligence and is based on SLU’s models and data.
The map is primarily used for forest planning but also has other applications.
