Lycksele, August 19, 2026 – Ragn-Sells, one of Sweden’s leading and most experienced companies specializing in recycling and the environment, has selected Icebound as the provider of a new geographic IT platform for its Swedish operations. The solution is based on Icebound’s AddSpatial GIS platform.

This investment will provide Ragn-Sells with a modern GIS platform designed to streamline business processes and strengthen geographic decision support across large parts of the organization. AddSpatial GIS offers a comprehensive platform for managing, analyzing, and visualizing geographic information, creating new opportunities for both operational and strategic decision-making.

As one of the leading players in recycling and environmental protection, Ragn-Sells handles extensive amounts of geographic information, both related to its own facilities and to operations outside of them. The company is actively driving the transition to a circular economy to reduce its climate and environmental impact, which places high demands on efficient and modern geographic IT support.

Anders Kyrk, Business Manager at Icebound, says:
– “We are very pleased that, following a thorough procurement process and a constructive dialogue with Ragn-Sells, we have been able to meet the high standards set for the system delivery. We see that AddSpatial GIS offers a well-integrated solution for geographic information, and that we can also provide complementary geographic and real estate data services as needed. We are grateful for the trust placed in us and look forward to embarking on a long-term partnership in which both parties can grow together through close collaboration.”

Helena Nyman, national GIS coordinator at Ragn-Sells, says:
–“We were looking for a modern and future-proof GIS platform that could support our operations while also being easy to manage and further develop. AddSpatial GIS met our requirements well, and we look forward to working with Icebound to develop our geographic information systems for many years to come.”

The goal is for the production environment to be up and running around the turn of the year 2026/2027.
